Ramcharger
This is the Dodge entry in the sport/utility vehicle market. It's an all-around vehicle that can be used for work during the week (it can handle a good-sized load in the rear) or as a family fun vehicle (it seats up to five). For 1975, you have a choice of two-wheel drive or full-time four-wheel drive. Choose the two-wheel drive if you intend to use your Ramcharger for normal driving on streets or highways. Choose the full-time four-wheel-drive Ramcharger if you intend to head out into the back country and drive over rough terrain or in areas where no roads exist. Ramcharger features include a wide stance for stability, low ground-to-step height and wide doors for ease of entry, and suspended pedals so there are no holes in the floor to allow dust and road splash to enter the front compartment. The seats are covered with tough vinyl for all-weather work/play service.
HARDTOP. A weather-tight sturdy steel top that gives your Ramcharger the look of a small station wagon. The liftgate has gas-operated cylinders that enable you to raise or lower it with one hand. A turn of the handle and the liftgate practically raises itself. No need to wind down the window first. Top can be removed at any time desired. Color selection includes any body paint color plus black or white vinyl-textured paint.
SOFTTOP. A softtop made of long lasting white or black vinyl gives the Ramcharger the jaunty look of a safari vehicle. It fits snugly all around and is held in place with snaps to permit easy on-and-off convenience. Side and rear windows can be unsnapped and rolled up to let in fresh air and still offer protection from the hot rays of the sun. This top is a Dealer-installed option.
For those who want the jaunty look and feel of a sports vehicle and don't do any off-the-highway traveling, Dodge offers the new Ramcharger with two-wheel drive. It has everything you can get with the four-wheel-drive Ramcharger except the four-wheel-drive equipment. The Ramcharger at the right, shown with the optional steel hardtop, is the new two-wheel-drive Ramcharger.
Ramcharger's full-time four-wheel drive eliminates the need for locking hubs when you go off the highway to explore the backwoods and hills. The system consists of five settings- high lock, high, neutral, low, and low lock. One of the benefits of four-wheel drive is that if the wheels on one axle start to slip on ice or mud, the wheels on the other axle automatically take over. With constant four-wheel drive, you also get excellent traction when driving on wet or slippery roads.

RAMCHARGER SE INTERIOR. The SE has deluxe, full-foam bucket seats for driver and passenger comfort that are covered with handsome vinyl upholstery. Door trim is color-coordinated, and handy map pockets on the doors are standard. Colors are black, blue, green, and parchment. Floor covering is carpeting.
RAMCHARGER INTERIOR. The driver's seat on the standard model has thick, full-foam padding covered with durable vinyl. A passenger seat is optional. Door trim is color-coordinated. Floor covering is rubber. Interior colors are black, blue, green, and parchment.
The Dodge Ramcharger offers three seating choices. The standard driver's seat. The optional front passenger seat. (Standard equipment on the Ramcharger SE.). The optional three-passenger rear seat. (Only available in combination with front passenger seat.) This gives you a seating capacity choice of one, two, or five.
REAR SEAT. The optional vinyl-covered foam rear seat for both the standard and the
SE model is wide and comfortable. It nestles neatly between the wheel wells and can be removed quickly when you wish to carry cargo. Armrests and ashtrays are on both sides for rear passenger convenience.
The instrument panel on both Ramcharger models has the dials and gauges clustered neatly in front of the driver so they can be read quickly at a glance. Included are a temperature gauge, an ammeter, a fuel gauge, a speedometer, and an oil pressure warning light. Available as optional equipment are a clock, a tachometer, and an oil pressure gauge. On the Ramcharger SE, dials and gauges are rimmed with bright chrome and paneling is wood-grained vinyl.
